PasarBella @ The Grandstand

Visited Yolanda at Cicely Kitchen at PasarBella @ The Grandstand yesterday. I've got to admit its inconvenient but it's so worth the hassle. For those who don't know of this place. It's like Singapore's version of the Farmer's Market.

That's Yoyo working at the background. Didn't know that she could cook so well and cook everything by herself after being under the lady boss's guidance for a while.

She made us Wild Mushroom + Truffle Cream Pasta, which was bomb diggity. Not a fan of cream based pastas but this was awesome.

We also tried their Mac & Cheese, Shepard's Pie and their tomato soup. Daniel loved the soup it was so flavourful and it has a thicker consistency in comparison to the average tomato soups.

We also tried Sea Salt Carribean Deli as recommended by Yoyo. It's located right opposite Cicely Kitchen. We chose the 3 meat + 1 side (150gms) also recommended by Yoyo. We gotta say we love it. Daniel and I both love the Beef & Pork meat. The chicken was average. The sides were awesome. I loved the potato it tastes different from your normal typical potato sides. Daniel thinks the rice tasted more like Indian cuisine but we don't hate it. It tasted great too. Even though the rice was flavoured I feel that it isn't too strong and it compliments the meat very well as the meat had a much stronger taste. Great dish overall. Satisfying dish for S$12.  She also made us two drinks - Mixed berries and Lychee. I liked both drinks, they are both light but not as strong as I thought it would be.

Yoyo gave us crepe from Le Patio too but I forgot to take a photo of it. Oops.

I will be heading back to PasarBella this Thursday with my colleagues. I'm sure they'll love this place as much as I do!

Note to self: I need to get my hands on that pomegranate cake.
